The Central Jakarta Administration deployed joint personnel to secure a 403-square-meter plot of land owned by the Jakarta City Parks and Forestry (Tamhut) Agency on Jalan Kampung Bali IX, RT 09/RW 09, Tanah Abang, on Wednesday (10/7).
The enforcement was carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations
Central Jakarta Communication, Information, and Statistics (Kominfotik) Sub-agency Head Rachmat Setiawan explained that the plot, which is designated as green open space (RTH), had been occupied by a group of residents.
Makeover Leaves Jalan Menteng Pulo II Green Space GreenerAccording to KIB A records, the land has been owned by the Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Agency since December 31, 1996. Under the 2022 Detailed Spatial Plan (RDTR), the land is designated as green open space.
"Based on the land records, this plot is part of the same tract of land as the Kampung Bali Urban Village head's official residence, as stated in HGB No. 9/Tanah Abang," he noted.
Rachmat said the operation involved joint personnel from the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP), Public Works, Tamhut, Community Service Public Infrastructure and Facilities (PPSU) teams, and RT/RW administrators, with support from police and military personnel and a backhoe.
"The enforcement was carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations and followed the required legal authority, procedures, and substantive requirements," he asserted.
According to Rachmat, the Kampung Bali Urban Village head had conducted mediation and guidance and issued first, second, and third warning letters to residents claiming to be the heirs of the landowner.
"To date, there is no other legal documentation that invalidates the status of the asset as property of the Jakarta Provincial Government. That is why the enforcement was carried out today," he explained.
He said the Central Jakarta Administration would install a sign stating that the land belongs to the Jakarta Provincial Government and develop the green open space as a social gathering area for residents of RT 09/RW 09, Kampung Bali.
"The Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to protecting and securing its land assets as part of good governance. At the same time, all assets can be optimized according to their designated use to support public services, city development, and community welfare," he emphasized.
Central Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency Head Mila Ananda added that her office would gather input from local residents on plans to develop the green open space and social gathering area on Jalan Kampung Bali IX.
"We will provide seating areas and plant various types of plants, such as tabebuia, to create an Instagrammable space," she said.
